Design Programs

Recognizing the pedagogical challenges and modern demands of education, AKTO selects user-friendly methods and contemporary teaching design models, providing each student with a range of tools to facilitate the educational process. Among these, students receive an account for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) of Microsoft Office 365, as well as free access to Autodesk CAD 2D/3D design software for their personal computer.

International Student ID

Upon enrollment, AKTO students are entitled to acquire the internationally recognized ISIC student identity card, which provides them with a range of benefits such as a 50% discount on ferry tickets, 25-50% discount on intercity bus (KTEL) tickets, medical services, clothing stores, footwear, restaurants, etc. The ISIC is the only International Student Identity Card worldwide, valid in Greece and 133 countries globally, and is recognized by UNESCO.

Microsoft Office 365 VLE

Recognizing the pedagogical challenges and characteristics that govern education, AKTO selects user-friendly methods and contemporary teaching design models, providing each student with a range of benefits to facilitate the educational process. Each student gains access to the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) of Microsoft Office 365 with their own personal account. Microsoft’s VLE, among other things, includes:

  • Microsoft Office Pro Plus
    • All Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and can be installed on up to five (5) personal devices (laptop, tablet, mobile, desktop, etc.).
  • OneDrive
    • with 100 Gigabytes of available space for each student
  • Personal email account
    • yourname@aktocollege.gr
  • SharePoint
  • Microsoft Office Pro Plus
  • Coordination and instruction via MS Teams

Computer Support Workshops

Computer labs are held weekly at scheduled times, under the supervision of instructors. They are optional and completely free, aiming to enhance skills and provide support in operating all taught programs, covering their design needs, among others, in:

  • Illustrator
  • Photoshop
  • InDesign
  • Web Design
  • AutoCAD 2D-3D
  • SketchUp
  • Rhino
  • 3DS MAX
  • and more

Fonts.gr

AKTO provides its students with 120 fonts from the company Fonts.Gr. The fonts can also be used from the students’ personal space for processing projects assigned to them within the curriculum.

e-Secretariat & Student Portal

For the better service of our students, an e-Secretariat is also available, through which documents and certificates can be requested without the need for a physical visit. All students can access their student account and find information about their studies, as well as their timetable.

Technical Support

Students are provided with technical support, which includes assessment of educational needs and assistance in procuring appropriate IT equipment and software, as well as technical support for any issues that may arise. The Technical Support department operates daily from 9:00 AM until evening, including during the examination period.

Use of Facilities

Members of the AKTO student community have free access to workshops, internet studios, PC studios, and classrooms, even after classes conclude. Read more about AKTO’s facilities at the Athens Campus and the Thessaloniki Campus.

AKTO College Graduation

Graduation from AKTO College programs, conducted in collaboration with Middlesex University London (MU), offers the ultimate study experience with a Graduation Ceremony that follows British educational standards.
