34+ Years of University Education
In 1990, AKTO became a leader by pioneering the introduction of new Technologies across all art and design specializations, and in 1991, it validated its programs with Middlesex University London (MU).
Since then, AKTO has been the only Greek educational institution with the longest-standing collaboration with a world-renowned British University. Specifically, Middlesex University London (MU) is accredited by the British State (UKRI & OFS), making it a distinguished university body with international recognition.
University Level Studies
In today’s highly competitive market, acquiring internationally recognized university degrees is an advantage in securing employment. Lifelong learning, continuous training, and academic specialization at a postgraduate level are more important than ever. AKTO responds to the demands of the times, offering prospective students opportunities for further academic development. Our graduates always have the chance to enhance their academic profiles through postgraduate and doctoral studies, and to enrich their portfolios by gaining specialized knowledge in their field.
University Degrees and Recognition
AKTO offers, with the validation of Middlesex University London, 9 undergraduate and 4 postgraduate study programs in the field of Art & Design, which lead, respectively, to the internationally recognized university degrees Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree and Master of Arts. In Greece, according to Presidential Decree 38/2010, as amended by Laws 4093/2012, 4111/2013, 4205/2013 and 4635/2019, professional equivalence is recognized for Bachelor’s and Master’s university degrees. The recognition process is carried out through the Independent Department for the Implementation of European Legislation (ATEEN). These graduates are eligible to participate in ASEP competitions, according to Article 13 of Law 4148/2013.
Postgraduate Studies at AKTO
Addressing the need for postgraduate education in the Art & Design sector, AKTO responds with 4 innovative Postgraduate Programs of study. These programs operate in Greece with the validation of Middlesex University London and lead to a Master of Arts university degree. AKTO’s Postgraduate Programs are designed to cover a wide range of subject areas, offering specialization options in the fields of Arts, Design, and Media.
Undergraduate Studies at AKTO
Graduates of Vocational Training Institutes (IEK) and Distance Learning programs, as well as individuals with extensive professional experience, can enroll in the Undergraduate Programs offered by AKTO in collaboration with Middlesex University London through entrance exams. These are nine study programs, which lead to the acquisition of a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree.
